EVEN a Road-Warrior can live the Healthy Mid Life
Many of today’s careers involve some degree of travel. Whether you are the occasional business traveler or you’ve reached Delta Airline’s venerable Diamond Medallion Status, living on the road makes keeping routines like working out and choosing healthy food problamatic to nearly impossible.
Enter the Intercontinental Hotels Group, more commonly known as the fine folks from Holiday Inn. They are developing a new choice targeted to those of us that are living the Healthy Mid Life, or at least attempting to. EVEN™ Hotels is a new concept hotel geared from the ground up to accomodate travelers healthy eating and fitness routines. This isn’t just an excercise bike, a turkey sandwich, and a diet coke. They are taking hotel fitness to the next level. The fitness centers will be state of the art, and prominately featured, not hidden down the hall and around a corner. They will include cardo options, free weights, as well as room and equipment for streching activities like yoga.
Want to exercise the privacy of your room? The rooms will include a circuit training guide, yoga mats, along with floor space, a pull up bar, and workout bench, doing double duty as a luggage rack. Also, exercise equipment will be available for checkout.
Hotel cuisine will focus on healthy menu items, breakfast and other fare such as bistro plates, soups, salads, fresh coffee and filtered water. The hotel will also have lounge with beer, wine, and cocktails, because, well… you are travelling!
